Sakurai Graphic Systems, one of the leading Japanese printing press manufacturers, conducted the 10th edition of its annual Open House during the peak pandemic time. The event held at the company’s Gifu factory showcased a range of products that they planned to showcase physically at drupa 2020, which has turned into virtual format to be held from drupa April 20-30, 202.
At the event, Sakurai unveiled a two-colour screen printing presses, DMS-80SD-EXT, with an inkjet unit that can perform complex processing of thermal transfer sheet in one pass. The event was themed as ‘Fusion of Analog (Silk Screen) and Digital (Inkjet) Technologies’. Also introduced at the event was an upgraded product MSDR-30 with UV and hot foil equipped with a compact hot air dryer designed exclusively for cylinder type, roll-to-roll screen printing press and others.
