In order to further continue their operations effectively, manroland India will enter the high speed digital web business in India in the coming months, adding to its existing portfolio of manroland web and sheetfed presses. The company will now offer product sales, warranties, service and spare part support for all three business divisions directly with a strengthened service support across six cities in India. manroland AG, the leading manufacturer of high performance offset printing systems, has been split into two separate companies in Germany – manroland web systems GmbH and manroland sheetfed systems, and these two business units of web and sheetfed offset respectively will now function as independent organizations with immediate effect. Two multi-disciplined engineering conglomerates, Possehl Group and Langley Holdings plc are the investors for the webfed and sheetfed sectors respectively thus ensuring a strong future for both business units. With the support of the two strong engineering groups as investors, manroland web and sheetfed businesses look forward to a secure and long term success in the future, with increased spends on research and development on new technologies assured.

In the year 2011, manroland India increased its sheetfed installed base by 25 percent including both new and pre-owned press installations in India. The GATF award winning ROLAND 700 HiPrint was increasingly chosen by Indian commercial and packaging printers, with a record 56 units of the medium sized press installed in the same year.

The pre-owned press division of manroland India was launched in 2011 for offering services of inspection, sourcing, sales, installation, spare parts and service support for manroland presses sourced from across the globe. The company recently installed a pre-owned R704 HiPrint press at Vijayawada based Bhavana Offset Printers, sold directly by manroland India.
