Udo Schuertzmann, managing director, Messe Dusseldorf India Pvt Ltd As a full service trade fair organising company, Messe Dusseldorf India Pvt Ltd offers a comprehensive international trade fair programmes focusing on machinery and plant engineering, medicine and health. Having established New Delhi and Mumbai as the centres of their operations, Messe Düsseldorf India is today one of the leading trade fair organisers in Asia. They organise six shows in India including International Packtech India.

Basic infrastructure plays pivot role in making the trade shows successful in a big way. That’s why every town in Germany owns exhibition ground and the government spends a lot on these fairgrounds. With a mere population of around six lacs people in Dusseldorf, 320 million of Euros were spent in 2008 to provide better experience to lots of tourists coming due to exhibitions. While in India, there are limited options in this respect: the choice resonating between Delhi and Mumbai,” elaborated Udo Schuertzmann pointing out the importance of infrastructure in organizing trade exhibitions. Messe Dusseldorf has always been preferring to organize their shows in Delhi or Mumbai since the beginning of their operations in India.

International Packtech India 2010 Talking about International Packtech India 2010 to be held from November 18-20, 2010 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, presenting trends and technologies in the growing market of consumer goods packaging, in association with DrinkTech 2010 and having support from the Institute of Packaging Machinery Manufacturers of India and the Packaging Technology Centre of the SIES School of Packaging, Udo sated, “This time Packtech India will be a much bigger show as we have associated it with DrinkTech 2010. Drinktech would occupy one-third of the exhibition space while two-third would be occupied by Packtech India. It is a welcome combination and combined together, the show will attract a much greater participation both in terms of exhibitors as well as visitors. Being a part of the Messe Dusseldorf, Germany we have more possibilities of attracting international exhibitors and visitors. Besides, our expert team is trying their best to make it a successful event.”

“People know that quality comes for a price. We give value for money in our shows. Since there are a lot of packaging shows in India, the competition is tough. We wish a single big packaging show in the country but it is not possible right now,” concluded Udo laughing.
