New range of digital printing work-horses from Ricoh

Ricoh launches three new products catering to different customer segments in production printing market at a launch ceremony in New Delhi.

Guided by its core philosophy of offering comprehensive imaging solutions, tech-savvy, and eco-friendly products to meet ever changing needs of the customer, Ricoh India Limited, a subsidiary of Ricoh Company Limited, Japan, revealed its aggressive mega expansion plans through introduction of three new state-of-the-art products into the fast emerging production printing market in India. To this end, it has unveiled three new models of production printers: Ricoh Pro C 901/901S GA+, Ricoh Pro C5100S/ 5110S, Ricoh MP CW 2200SP.

These new Ricoh Pro C 5100 series range are targeted at the SME/SMB segment, which is set to benefit from this entry level product with competitive price and low cost of operation. While, Ricoh Pro C 5100/5100S have print speed of 65 A4 pages per minute and 80 A4 pages per minute, with the duty cycle of 300 K A4 pages per month.

Speaking on the launch, Tetsuya Takano, managing director and chief executive officer, Ricoh India Limited, remarked, “Our market research revealed that there is a gap at the entry level production printing segments and customers are looking for solution that fulfils this need. With low investment and extra long size printing capability, this product is surely going to benefit our customers. This world class Ricoh product will be beneficial as it gives consistent printer performance and has low cost of ownership. The launch of Ricoh Pro C 901/901S GA+, Ricoh Pro C5100S/ 5110S series is demonstrative of Ricoh’s policy of offering excellent products that add value to our customer`s workplace”.

While, Manoj Kumar, senior vice president & CFO of Ricoh India Limited stated, “We see a huge growth potential in this segment. We feel that this is the right time for us to invest in this segment and expand our presence by introducing state-of-the-art products like these. Additionally, we are also launching Colour Gel Jet Engineering Plan Printer, which has some unique features to improve the work efficiency in the engineering, ACE and GIS segments. The launch of these products once again demonstrates the strong resolve of Ricoh to provide world class products and solutions to its business segment customers. I am confident that this product expansion will help Ricoh garner a considerable market share of this segment.”

Also, Avijit Mukherjee, COO Production Printer business unit, added, “With Ricoh’s wide range of product lines and launch of new series of production printers at the entry level segment with excellent after sales service, we are confident that our channel partners will be able to rapidly expand their business opportunities and increase their customer base. A unique feature of this product is its capability to print extra long print up to 49 inches. We firmly believe that the entry level segment will benefit with these products. This will also help Ricoh in increasing its market in colour production printing. Complementing this effort, Ricoh is also strengthening its supremacy in the mid segment colour production printing segment by adding Ricoh Pro C901/901S GA+, which has the capability to print up to 350 GSM media. This would redefine the printing solution offering to the customers and fuel the Ricoh major expansion plans. Ricoh continues to invest in channel friendly support programmes to compliment this expansion”.
