Baldwin introduces Ahlbrandt Corona innovations
Ahlbrandt System GmbH – A Baldwin Technology Company, will reveal Coron innovations engineered for plastic film extrusion and converting applications at K 2019 in Dusseldorf, October 16-23, in Baldwin Technology’s booth C53, hall 4, K 2019.
The new particle-free Ahlbrandt Corona electrodes prevent contamination from damaged or broken elements, an innovation that provides an advantage for clean rooms and those converting high-quality, food-grade plastic films. This novel design will be introduced in the Ahlbrandt Corona Pure, Pure XL, Flex, and Slim product lines.
Also showcased at K 2019, will be the new Ahlbrandt Corona Extrude which is a pretreatment system for blown film extrusion lines where it is essential to obtain a perfect surface tension prior to the finishing process. It features powerful metal electrode segments for a long lifetime operation.
Thanks to the unique Ahlbrandt electrode designs, high pretreatment intensity is enabled on reactive film areas, which in turn leads to a continuously maintained treatment efficiency at optimal production speed without any impact from temperature variations during the production cycle. Additionally, the operator can easily access and flip the electrode segments; thereby, cutting service and maintenance time to a minimum.
The slim and compact, yet durable design makes the innovations future-proof and easily integrated into new and existing production lines. The robust parts enable a long service life with minimal maintenance, increasing uptime and delivering optimal return on investment.
